I wanted to record something with my tambura, so I tuned my guitar to a C chord tuning that I placed over my initial tambura playing.

Because of the country, blues, Indian feel to the piece I came up with the title Calcutta Cowboy, as if an Indian and a couple of Americans had jammed their styles together, which I was trying to do I suppose.
